Martin Microscope MM99 Digital Camera Adapter - Sony Mavica. As 2019 comes to a close, we are discontinuing our MM99 digital camera adapter.
These were originally for the Sony Mavica Floppy disc cameras - the first really popular consumer digital cameras on the market. Other customers were also asking for similar products, so over the summer of 1999 I developed the MM99 adapter.
Later, about 2003, we got a call from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park folks wanting to use a Sony Handycam camcorder to record video from a microscope for a Park Service film about biodiversity. The MM99 worked like a charm. Shortly thereafter, the same folks bought themselves a Sony HD camcorder and a Dell HD monitor and invited me to try the MM99 with that system.
