This bundle comes in three units. Optics are in good shape, just need to be cleaned.

I plugged this unit into the control box and it seems to work fine. Very good condition considering the age, there are no deep scratches. The part that fits on the microscope is 1.649 O. I'll assume these are metric, which would be 42mm and 39mm respectively.

Important Note, to get the unit to work with the control box you need to plug the manual shutter release into the side of this unit, not the camera. I was able to see through the lens system and focus it. OK this has got to be the most simple Nikon camera I've ever seen.

It has no shutter, only the slide to open the camera for the photo. It has two settings: full frame and half frame. I'm including the light-leaked roll that was in the camera when I got it for no extra charge. Nikon Control Unit S/N 47510. I didn't see a model number. I plugged this into the adapter and tested the entire range of shutter speeds, but without a timer. They seem to change and be right for the speed.

For example the 1/125 is fast and the ½ seems to be about a ½ second. If you change the ASA you will also note a change of speed. I didn't understand the 1/4x, 1/2x and 1.3x on the ASA dial, but this is probably some kind on compensation for the amount of light you need to push through all those lenses. Everything seems to work, but would require a test with a roll of film to be sure. There is no reason to believe the unit is not functioning.

The battery compartment graphics is buggered up from someone trying to clean it out. I did put in four fresh batteries to test the unit. Manuel shutter release, which is required. The control unit operates when you trigger the shutter on the adapter.

You'll understand why when you play with it. I bought this from the University of Utah in 2013 and never used it. I just like cool gadgets. Today was the first day I played with it.
